How many types of white people are there?

Dear Lost Count,
Most people are familiar with many stereotypes for white people. Some examples follow:


The WASP:













Usually associated with New England and Country Clubs



The Liberal:

Usually upper middle class.

There is also an interesting variant which holds the same values at the extreme end but live a different lifestyle- the hippies:




The Drunken White:
Often seen variant - the college Greek




The Middle American:


Despite their friendliness, they are often recognized as the "ugly American," maybe because of their tendency to be overweight and wear outdated clothes.


The Redneck:

More than booze-swilling, gun-toting, tabacky-chewing people who live in trailers or shacks and marry cousins, the hallmark of the real Redneck is xenophobia.



* It is important to remember that "white" only really applies to Americans from the U.S. If you happen to have pale skin but hail from countries like Ireland, Sweden, Germany, Italy, South Africa or Australia, these stereotypes have limited application.
